CTGA Cup Competition

Our CTGA Cup is a season-long competition where players accumulate points based on their specific finish within their CTGA Cup Flight in ALL CTGA tournaments, followed by a year-end Playoff to determine our CTGA Cup Champion.

Our CTGA Cup competition consists of 2 segments:

1. Year-long competition concluding with the 3^rd to last event prior to our annual Fall Classic;
2. A 4-Round Playoff for all entering qualifiers;
   1. Two Elimination Rounds the two tournaments prior to our Fall Classic
      • Round 1……  20% of the Playoff Field cut for Round 2
      • Round 2……  Playoff Field cut to top 24 to advance to Finals
   2. Two Final Rounds concurrent with our Fall Classic
      • Round 3……  50% of the Playoff field cut and go into Consolation Bracket
      • Round 4……  Playoff Finals for Overall Championship and Consolation Champion

CTGA Cup Competition Eligibility and Formula

1. CTGA Cup competition is limited to active CTGA members only;
2. All CTGA members must enter the competition within their first 3 events of the year. 
3. A one-time entry fee of $10.00 is due anytime within the Member’s first 3 events.
4. $1.00 from each member’s tournament entry fee will go toward the year-end prize fund;
5. Members who opt out are ineligible for FedEx Cup competition after their 3^rd event.
6. Members must meet the specific number of round requirements to compete in our year-end Playoffs as defined in #7 and #8 below;
7. Minimum Rounds Required to qualify for FedEx Cup Playoff:
   1. 2014 Returning Members and
   2. New Members who join in Q-4……………….......   7 rounds, including 5 after May 1
   3. New Members joining in January and February….            ..   6 rounds, including 5 after May 1
   4. New Members joining March and April……………  6 rounds, including 5 after May 1
   5. New Members joining May and June………………  5 rounds prior to start of Playoffs
   6. New Members joining after June 30…………….....   5 rounds prior to start of Playoffs
8. Maximum Rounds Required to compete in Playoffs with 100% of Average Points Earned during the year:
   1. 2014 Returning Members and
   2. New Members who join in Q-4……………….....  12 rounds including 5 after May 1
   3. New Members joining in January 1 and February… 10 rounds, including 5 after May 1
   4. New Members joining in March and April………...   9 rounds, including 5 after May 1
   5. New Members joining in May and June…………...   8 rounds prior to start of Playoffs
   6. New Members joining after June 30……………….   7 rounds prior to start of Playoffs
9. FedEx Cup points are awarded to players based on their finished within their respective Individual Format Flights and hypothetical Individual Format Flights in Team events;
10. Year end points accrued divided by the total events played determine Average Points per Event;
11. To create equity based on the number of FedEx Cup rounds played, the year-end Average Points per Event will be adjusted using a formulated Sliding Scale based on regular year tournament participation (see FedEx Cup Sliding Scale – % Adjusted Points To Rounds Played);
