Morris Williams Tournament Specifics
Morris Williams pairings are now available.
All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Tee Times, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Morris Williams pavilion before the start of play.
All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
Jeff Jones, Chirs Wadle and Jeff Bowman will be the Directors in charge of this event. Please direct any questions or concerns to them.

1st TEE TIME: 9:00
TEES TO PLAY:
- 1st Flight play Blue Tees
- 2nd & 3rd Flights play White Tees
WEATHER FORECAST: Will be in the 90’s.
DRESS CODE: Morris Williams has no specific Dress Code. Please dress consistent with upscale golf course dress code requirements. They are a Soft Spike facilities.

- AGAIN…..Our next 2 tournaments (Morris Williams and Roy Kizer) are regular tournaments…..and the 1st 2 rounds of our FedEx Cup Playoffs.
- Specifics for Round 1 of our FedEx Cup Playoffs will be out on Wednesday.
JIMMY CLAY TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Congratulations to our Flight Winners….
1st FLIGHT:
- 1st Place – Bill Lindquist (81-74) won scorecard playoff over Ben Hough (76-74) with a Net Back 9 score of 36 to Ben’s 38.
- 3rd Place – Monty Tetley (83-76)
2nd FLIGHT:
- 1st Place – Ed Hilpert (80-69) 2nd Place – Lindsay Shuff (86-76) 3rd Place – Kevin 3rd FLIGHT:
- 1st Place – Mike Cearly (87-72) won scorecard playoff over Joe Gimenez (84-72) and Jim Abrams (86-72). Back 9 Net scores were Mike 36, Joe 36 and Jim 38. Playoff went to last 6 holes Net with Mike (23) beating Joe (25).
4th FLIGHT:
- 1st Place – Carl Givens (88-71) won scorecard playoff over Jeff Jones (88-71) with a Net Back 9 score of 36 to Jeff’s 37.
- 3rd Place – Charley Clay (88-72)
And special congratulations to…….
- Patrick Sexton for taking both Close-To-Pins in the 2nd Trash Flight.
- Greg Jones for the only Deuce in the 1st Trash Flight.
- Travis Brown, Joe Gimenez and Anthony Guzaldo for splitting the large 2nd Deuce Flight pot.

- Our 2011 FedEx Cup 2 Round Playoff will be played during our September 17 and September 24 events. Remember, this Playoff will be in addition to our regular Medal Play competition opened to all players.

TEES TO PLAY:
1st/2nd Flight Men play Blue Tees
All other Men’s Flights play White Tees
Ladies play Red Tees
TRASH CARRYOVER: Carryover in the 2nd Deuce Flight.
KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES: # 2 and # 15.
SUNDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Relief from triple digits….mid 90’s on Sunday with a slight chance of rain. If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (444-0999) after 8:30 on tournament day for status of play.

Fall Classic and Fedex Cup Playoffs
Our 2011 Fall Classic and FedEx Cup Playoffs are just around the corner. Here are the particulars for each:
FedEx Cup Playoffs include a 2 round Elimination, then a 2 round final :
Round 1 elimination: Saturday, September 17 at Morris Williams
Round 2 elimination: Sunday, September 24 at Roy Kizer
Final Playoff Rounds (2): Concurrent with our 2011 Fall Classic (October 1 & 2)
- All members who qualify based on our 2011 FedEx Cup Sliding Scale (attached) are eligible to compete in the Playoff rounds.
- Two (2) Playoff Flights determined by player handicap
- Points will be earned based on Playoff finish in each of the 2 elimination rounds and will be added to existing Average Points Per Round total accumulated during the year-long FedEx Cup competition
- Six (6) players within each Playoff Flights with the most cumulative points earned will advance to the FedEx Cup Finals
- Points received in the 1st Finals Round (October 1) will be added to the total points earned
- Total Points earned will be adjusted for the Round 2 Finals (October 2)
- Winner will be the player with the most total points after Round 2 Finals (adjusted points plus points earned in Finals Round 2)
2011 Fall Classic
Saturday, October 1 Cowan Creek (Sun City Georgetown)

- All 2011 active members are eligible to play in our Fall Classic
- Eligibility to compete in the Medal Play competition and adjusted handicaps are determined by our 2011 Qualifying Guidelines and Handicap Adjustment Tables (attached)
- All members are eligible to compete in our optional Trash and Team competitions
Delaware Springs Results
Delaware Springs results are now available.

- CTGA welcomed New Member ALLEN FRANCESCO and Special Guests ERIC KIRTZ and DARELD MORRIS to our Delaware Springs tournament.
- CTGA is making great improvements in our PACE of PLAY goal as was shown at Delaware Springs. All 4-some scorecards were turned in within 15 minutes of each other. Way to go, gang.
