Pairings for Next Event

Welcome to CTGA

Central Texas Golf Association (CTGA) is a non-profit, member-supported organization open to all male and female amateur golfers. We welcome you to the best golf league with the best tournament schedule in the greater Austin, Texas area. Interested in learning more about CTGA and how to join? See our Prospective CTGA Member page for more information.

CTGA Tournament Guidelines

The CTGA Board of Directors is committed to providing a golf schedule and tournament environment that appeals to all its Members. The numbers of tournaments and the variety of courses and tournament formats have been scheduled based on inputs from Members and history of past participation.

To run our tournaments effectively, we ask for player cooperation as follows:

  • That all Members and their invited Guests represent CTGA with the highest respect and dignity. Proper conduct at and on the course is important to us.
  • Our goal at each tournament is for all players to enjoy golf, the group we're playing with, the golf course, and the tournament format.
  • CTGA plays to USGA Rules of Golf. Any CTGA specific rule exceptions and/or course local Rules will be defined to all Members and invited Guests. It's the responsibility of all Members to know and apply CTGA Rules of Play at all tournaments and ensure that their invited Guests comply with same.
  • The golf courses we play have differing dress codes. Some are liberal while others have defined dress requirements. To be consistent and avoid non-compliance of dress codes at any course, CTGA recommends that all Members dress consistent with upscale courses at all CTGA tournaments. CTGA also recommends that all players use soft spike shoes only.
  • Slow Play affects all golfers. CTGA Pace of Play goal is designed to help minimize "Undue Slow Play," and all CTGA Members and their invited Guests are challenged to comply with this goal.
  • All courses require leagues to commit to the number of players 5 to 10 days prior to the event. CTGA is committed to complying with these requirements and have "Signup Entry Deadlines" identified for each tournament.

Again, CTGA is a golf league that strives to make every tournament an exciting and fun event.

SEE YOU ON THE FIRST TEE……………

2020 Classic Results

2020 Classic Results are now available.

Despite the Sun City restrictions, our 2020 Fall Classic was  as successful as it could be.  The weather was great…a bit brisk with a stout breeze and misting on Sunday.  We want to thank all players for accepting and complying with Sun City safety guidelines.  As we said earlier, CTG has a great long running relationship with Sun City golf courses and its important we keep it strong.

I will be sending out the issues we would have discussed at the Annual Meeting we couldn’t have.  Please review it and respond with your inputs, suggestions, concerns, etc.  We thank you in advance.

No rest for the wicked as our 2021 Tournament schedule starting in less than 2 week.  We hope all will join us at The Bandit in New Braunfels on Thursday, November 5.  It’s a great track that we all enjoy.

Congratulations to those whose names were drawn to receive free 2021 Membership Dues:

            Tod Alderman                        Jason Duncan

            Anthony Holland                    David Nardecchia

            Erik Rudi

Also, in recognition for being the only non-Director to play in all 2020 CTGA Tournaments, John Cervantes was also given a free 2021 Membership Dues.

Lastly, we again want to recognize our newest 2021 Members who joined us at our Fall Classic:

Tony Compton                        Jordan Groover         Gary Quick

Robert Strong             Tim Sweeney               Lili Taufu

With so many different results this weekend, I won’t even attempt to try to recognize individuals as we normally do.  Just spend some time reviewing the attached results from all 4 of our Fall Classic competitions:

2020 Fall Classic Medal Play and Trash Results

2020 Fall Classic 2-Player Team Results

            2020 CTGA Cup Final Results

            2020 CTGA Challenge Results

And finally, on behalf of your 2020 CTGA Directors, we want to give our 2020 Members a huge THANK YOU for making a very unusual, and sometimes frustrating tournament year, a total success.
