Twin Creeks Tournament Specifics

Twin Creeks pairings are now available.

  • IMPORTANT NOTICE…OUR 1st TEE TIME AT TWIN CREEKS IS AT 12:00 WITH OUR LAST TEE TIME AT 1:44.  SUNSET IS AT 5:30 AND DARKNESS AT 5:56.  THIS GIVES OUR FINAL FOURSOUME JUST OVER 4 HOURS TO COMPLETE THEIR ROUND.
  • TWIN CREEKS WILL LET US TO START FOURSOMES EARLIER THAN 12:00 IF THEIR PAIRING SHEET ALLOWS.  IN ANTICIPATION OF THIS HAPPENING, EVERYONE SHOULD BE AT THE COURSE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED START TIME.
  • WITH THE TIME CRUNCH TO FINISH, ANY FOURSOME WHO FAILS TO STAY UP WITH THE FOURSOME IN FRONT WILL BE PENALIZED.  THIS IS OUR TIME TO SHINE WITH PACE OF PLAY….LET’S DO IT!!!!

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

 

Steve Barnes and Eddie Nunez will be the Directors in charge of this event.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

 

FORMAT:  Medal Play

 

1st TEE TIME:  12:00….possibly earlier, so again, get there early.

 

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:   No Carryover in either Trash Flight this event.

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #9 & #12;    2nd Trash Flight - #5 & #15

 

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #5 and #14.

 

TWIN CREEKS DRESS CODE:  Their dress code requires collared shirt and no jeans.  CTGA asks that all players dress consistent with Country Club attire, so please dress accordingly.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

THURSDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Early report shows 72º at start time with clear skies and a slight breeze…perfect for CTGA golf.  If the weather does turn bad, call Eddie after 10:30 Thursday morning (512-797-0566) as he’ll be in touch with the course by then.

Riverside Results

Riverside results are now available.

CTGA welcomed Special Guest CLAUDE FLUECKIGER to our Riverside event.

Again, our Tournament Schedule for calendar year 2018 is being worked on now and we expect to have it completed and sent to all members by Christmas time.

Our next tournament at Twin Creeks is Thursday, November 30 and the Signup Deadline is Friday, November 24.  This is during Thanksgiving weekend.  PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO SIGN UP BY THE DEADLINE.

Delaware Springs Tournament Specifics

Delaware Springs pairings are now available.

       We are now in the process of completing our 2018 Tournament Schedule.  We requested inputs from our members to let us know if there are any courses NOT on our 2017 schedule that you would like to see added to our 2018 schedule and/or any courses we DID HAVE on this year’s schedule that you feel we should drop.  If you have any suggestions, please get them to me at your earliest convenience.

  • Someone left a stainless Mossy Oak mug (Yeti-type) at Jimmy Clay last Saturday.  Let me know if it’s yours and I’ll bring it to your next event.
  • Lastly, just a reminder that our 2018 Membership Dues are now due.

Coming from the South, take Hwy 71 West for @ 32 miles, then turn North (right) onto…

Hwy 281 for 15.8 miles, then turn Left…

Follow directions to golf course.

 

Allow about 1:20 drive time from center of Austin to Delaware Springs, so make sure you leave early enough to get there on time.

 

Jimmy Clay Results

Jimmy Clay results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed new member ADAM SINCLAIR to our Jimmy Clay event.
  • Our Jimmy Clay Pace of Play, for the most part, was excellent.  Only 3 Teams came in between 15-18 minutes behind the foursome in front.  A special thanks to all.
  • For those who have not played Delaware Springs, it is one of the “hidden jewels” in central Texas.  We’re hoping for a great turnout.
  • As we are now into our 2018 Tournament year, Annual Membership Dues will be collected at members’ next event.
