White Wing Results

White Wing results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members BEN BRADLEY, SCOTT WENDLANDT and CHAD WINKELMANN to our White Wing tournament.
  • CTGA proved this event that despite a tight course and moderately strong winds, we are capable of ALL FOURSOMES completing our round within our 4:30 target time.  We thank all who played yesterday for your efforts.
  • Our 2016 CTGA Tournament Schedule is now fully complete.  It will be posted in our website and at all City courses this week, and we should have our wallet schedules available at our next event.

Jimmy Clay Results

Jimmy Clay results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members BUBBA BOYD, STEVE DOBSON, TYLER MILES, PAUL WANG, AND TED WILLIAMS to our Jimmy Clay tournament.
  • Our tournament finish time as we progressed through our event was longer than our expected target time.  Although high winds contributed, in part, to the delays, I’m sure that most, if not all, will agree that the extremely unusual putting on hole #13 was the major problem that created a bottleneck all the way back to hole #11.
  • Looking at our finish times, all but 1 foursome finished within 8-14 minutes of each other.  The one group who finished 27 minutes after the group ahead were penalized 1 stroke each for their excessive delay.

In addition to our Medal Play Flight winners, Special KUDOS to the following…..

  • Landon Wolf as the only player to break 80 with a Low Gross Rounds of the Day – 79
  • Joe Gimenez as the only player to break Net Par with a Low Net Round of the Day – 70

  • 1st Trash Flight:  Curt Mathews – 9’ 3” on #12
  • 2nd Trash Flight:  Jim Abrams – 3’ 5” on #5

  • Rick Spigarelli and Ted Willaims for the only Deuces in the 1st Deuce Flight
  • Carl Givens, John Lawless and John Vayo for the only Skins in the 2nd Skins Flight
  • And finally, to John Vayo for the only Deuce in the 2nd Deuce Flight.

Vaaler Creek Tournament Results

Vaaler Creek results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members JOSE CASTILLO and APRIL McALISTER to our Vaaler Creek tournament.
  • NOTE ABOVE that Colovista will be our last tournament until January 23.
  • Our Pace of Play at Vaaler Creek took a step back as we had several foursomes finish well over 5 hours.  Vaaler Creek slipped several general public groups in between our foursomes, so it was difficult to determine if the cause of our delays were self-inflicted or the result of the course being slowed by added foursomes.
  • We will discuss this issue with Colovista in the hopes that they won’t allow general public foursomes to start within our event.
