Landa Park Tournament Specifics

Landa Park pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes Special Guest CONNOR LOWE to our Landa Park tournament.
  • We have additional spots for Sunday for anyone whose plans have changed and are able to play. Just send an email to me ASAP.
  • Countdown to our Fall Classic continues. After Landa Park, we have 6 events remaining before the Classic and 4 events left to make sure you qualify for our FedEx Cup Playoffs.
  • As we’ve done in years past, we may look at scheduling an add-on event on Saturday, September 21 for those who may need that extra round to qualify. More on this is upcoming.

 

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics, including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Fllights, and CTGA Rules of Play. Starting holes will be announced at the course. All information will be posted at Landa Park prior to start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at about 7:50.

Kevin Lowe and Scott Preece will be the CTGA Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

SUNDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Sunny and warm, with no rain in the forecast. Carry lots of fluids to avoid dehydration. If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (830-221-4340) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 6:30 on tournament day for status of play.

CTGA PACE OF PLAY: We’ll continue to push for our 4:30 pace target. Landa Park is a relatively short course and should pose no problem with Pace of Play. Note that penalties will be assessed for “Excessive Slow Play”.

LANDA PARK DRESS CODE.... No specific dress code requirements, however, CTGA requests all members and invited guests to dress consistent with upscale country club requirements. They are a soft spike facility.

CAR POOLING TO LANDA PARK….Anyone who wants to car pool to New Braunfels should let us know as soon as possible so we can identify both drivers and passengers. Please let us know if you are interested.

Star Ranch Tournament Specifics

Star Ranch pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes New Member NICKKO NUNEZ and Special Guests JAIME ARP and RYAN BOHAC to our Star Ranch tournament.
  • Those who may want lunch at Star Ranch prior to play can pay an additional $7.50 at the course.
  • After Star Ranch, we’ll have 7 tournaments remaining prior to our 2013 Fall Classic and 5 events left to make sure you qualify for our FedEx Cup Playoffs. Detailed information will be sent out early this week regarding participation year-to-date for both.

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Times, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Star Ranch pro shop prior to start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

White Wing pairings are now available.

FORMAT: Medal Play

 

FLIGHTS: Four (4) Flights, flighted by player Handicaps.

 

TEES TO PLAY:

       1st Flight Men play BLACK TEES

       2nd & 3rd Flight Men play GOLD TEES

       4th Flight Men play BLUE TEES

 

SHOTGUN START: 8:00

 

CLOSE-TO-PIN COMPETITION: Two (2) CTP Flights

        Please use attached Proximity Marker sheets

 

DRESS CODE: CTGA requests all members to dress consistent with upscale course requirements and have been advised that White Wing is a soft spike facility.

Forecast for Saturday looks great with no expectation of showers in the area. If the weather does turn bad, our members have been instructed to call the golf course after 7:00 for play status. I’ll be in touch with the course by then..

Green Ball Tournament Specifics

Green Ball pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes New Member EDWARD MINEVITZ and Special Guests RICHARD BAKER, MATT LINDSAY, and KHAM LY to our Roy Kizer tournament.
  • We still have room for one more player. If you haven’t signed up yet and want to play, please let us know ASAP.
  • We have 2 Bubble Teams pending the Blind Draw for Jim Abrams. If Jim draws a player with a handicap of 5 or less, his team will be in the 1st Team Flight and the team of Eddie Nunez and Carl Givens will move to the 2nd Flight. If Jim’s Blind Draw partner’s handicap is 6 or more, he will be in the 2nd Team Flight and Eddie and Carl will go to the 1st Flight.

Onion Creek Tournament Specifics

Onion Creek pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes New Members RYNNE CRUZ, TONY FOIANINI, JIMMY STEVENS, and RANDALL WESTBROOK, and Special Guests LARRY KEELING, JOE LENART, and GAVIN MARTINEZ to our Onion Creek tournament.
  • We still have room for more players. If you haven’t signed up yet and want to play, please let us know ASAP.
  • The tournament fee for Onion Creek has been raised by $2.00 to $74.00. This includes the course green fee, shared cart, range balls, and Player Pool fee. The reason for the increase is to ensure we have an adequate player pool for our 4 tournament Flights. Also, as a reminder, Skins and Deuces are extra.
