  FORECAST FOR SATURDAY SHOWS 80% TO 90% CHANCE OF RAIN.  IF THE FORECAST HOLD UP, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION ON PLAY OR NO PLAY BY 9:30.  IF WE CANCEL, WE WILL POST IT ON OUR CTGA FACEBOOK PAGE.

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:   No Carryover in either Trash Flight this event.

Men Flights 1, 2 and 3 play BLUE TEES

Men Flights 4, 5 and 6 play WHITE TEES

All Ladies plays RED TEES

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #3 and #15.

MORRIS WILLIAMS DRESS CODE:  No specific dress code, however, CTGA requests all players to dress consistent with Country Club dress requirements.

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Bad to Bleak at this time….but we are optimistic that it will change in our favor.  If the weather does turn bad, first check our CTGA Facebook page at CENTRAL TEXAS GOLF ASSOCIATION.  If no information there, call the golf course (512-974-8333) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 9:30 on Saturday for status of play.

Onion Creek Tournament Specifics

Onion Creek pairings are now available.

  • Unmarked and Natural Areas of high foliage beyond the 2nd cut of Fairway that are not marked as defined Hazards will be played according to instructions below.
  • We still have room for additional players on Thursday.  If your plans have changed and you would like to play, please let us know ASAP.
  • Our PACE OF PLAY on Thursday will be monitored and subject to penalty for EXCESSIVE SLOW PLAY.  Remember, YOUR PLACE ON THE COURSE IS IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE GROUP IN FRONT.

To help our Pace of Play, all areas beyond the obvious 2nd cut rough that are natural High Growth Foliage and not visibly marked as Lateral Hazard, will be considered Lateral Hazard and played as such.  Concurrence as to such Hazard must be agreed on by at least 2 players in your 4-some

ONION CREEK DRESS CODE:  Their dress code is consistent with Country Club requirements.  Please dress accordingly.

THURSDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Mid 60’s and clear from start time through finish with no possibility of rain.  Signs of the coming of Spring and great CTGA golf weather.  If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (512-383-2013) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 11:30 on Thursday for status of play.

  • REMINDER to those playing their first event of the year:  2015 Annual Membership Dues ($60.00) are being collected.

Delaware Springs Tournament Specifics

Delaware Springs pairings are now available.

CTGA welcomes New Members GREG DeGRAZIA, BILLY HOLDERBEE and TOMMY NORRIS, and Special Guests RYAN HOLLY, DICK JONES, NICK KERRIGAN, and CHRIS McKINNY to our Delaware Springs tournament.

 

  • Another reminder that Pace of Play will be monitored and addressed accordingly.
  • A good turnout following our Fall Classic and the first official tournament of 2015.

Classic Round 1 Tournament Specifics

Fall Classic pairings are now available.

CTGA welcomes all members playing in our 2014 Fall Classic. This is the event we’ve been waiting for. Get ready for a great time.

  • Our Annual Meeting will be held immediately after play on Saturday, along with food and beverage. We’re asking all attending members to be ready to address any issues you feel need to be discussed as we prepare for 2015. We will also elect our 2015 Directors at the conclusion of the meeting.
  • We have 76 players for our Fall Classic. Another great turnout. Both Roy Kizer and Cowan Creek staff have reminded us of our need to complete our play in UNDER 4 HOURS – 30 MINUTES. We assured them this would happen. PLEASE….don’t put us in a position to assess SLOW PLAY PENALTIES.
