Jimmy Clay/Green Ball Tournament Results

Results for the green ball tournament at Jimmy Clay are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members KEVIN CONNORS and DUSTIN HAWKINS and Special Guests RICHARD BAKER, CONNER LOWE and KYLE RAYMOND to our Jimmy Clay tournament.
  • Note the players who placed in both the Green Ball and Best Ball competitions. With our Format guidelines, a Team can’t win in both competitions, so we determined winners in both by the highest amount possible for each place.
  • Look for the first message for our 2012 Fall Classic this week. We’ll be sending out a preliminary agenda along with explanation of all the competitions involved in the Classic.
  • Another reminder that our next tournament at Star Ranch is a WEEKDAY event on THURSDAY, August 2. Signup dealine for this event is Friday, July 27.

Jimmy Clay greens have made some significant improvements during the past few weeks. There are still a few greens that are less than desirable, but the pin placements set in the more healthy parts of all greens on Saturday helped make the round more bearable.

Congratulations to our competition winners….

Jimmy Clay Tournament Specifics

Jimmy Clay pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes New Members KEVIN CONNORS and DUSTIN HAWKINS, and Special Guests RICHARD BAKER, RAYMOND KYLE and CONNER LOWE to our Jimmy Clay tournament.
  • THINK PACE OF PLAY. It’s fun and contagious.

An update on the Jimmy Clay greens….from my perspective. Besides the temporary green (#8), there are 3 others that are still not in good condition. There are several others that I would grade between an B- and C-, and the rest I give a very positive A to B rating. The staff is working hard to get the greens back and we’re seeing some positive results.

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Jimmy Clay pavilion before the start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

Jeff Jones and Kevin Lowe will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.
