Fall Classic Round 1 pairings

Fall Classic pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes all CTGA MEMBERS and Special Guest BRIAN MURPHY to our 2013 Fall Classic tournament.
  • Our Fall Classic will also include the final 2 rounds of our 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff. Good luck to all 18 Finalists.
  • Our Fall Classic will also include the final 2 holes of our 2013 Kodak Challenge on Saturday at Legacy Hills. The final 2 holes are #6 and #14.
  • We still have room for this grand finale event. If you are available and want to play, just let me know ASAP.

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics, including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, and CTGA Fall Classic Rules of Play. This information will be posted at both courses prior to start of play each day.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 for our 8:00 SHOTGUN START.

Kevin Lowe and Scott Preece will be the CTGA Director in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

CTGA PACE OF PLAY: With one of our largest fields of the year, finish times will be monitored and, if necessary, penalties assessed for “Excessive Slow Play”.

SUN CITY DRESS CODE.... Consistent with Country Club courses. To ensure we comply, CTGA requests all players dress consistent with country club expected attire. They are a soft spike facility.

Jimmy Clay pairings are now available.

  • Our 2013 Fall Classic is next weekend. Note: we are playing LEGACY HILLS and COWAN CREEK. Please sign up early if you plan to play as we have tons of preparation for this great event.
  • Our 2013 FedEx Cup playoff Elimination Rounds end on Saturday at Jimmy Clay and we will announce the Finalists at that time.
  • Kodak Challenge point update will be sent to all members along with the Jimmy Clay results.
  • We have spots open this Saturday for anyone whose plans have changed and can join us. Just let me know ASAP.

Morris Williams Results

Morris Williams results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Member JUAN MALDONADO and Special Guests JEFF BOWMAN and DYLAN LEMKE to our Morris Williams tournament.
  • 2013 Fall Classic countdown: 1 event remaining
  • 2013 FedEx Cup playoff Round 2 is Saturday at Jimmy Clay.
  • Refer to the earlier email sent showing those members who have qualified for our FedEx Cup playoffs.

 

The forecast for Sunday was ominous at best. The chances of getting our round in looked bleak, until we started play. Our field dwindled from 71 to 64, and most who braved the elements had a great time.

 

Attached are the Morris Williams Medal Play results and the results of our FedEx Cup Round 1 Playoff.

 

Remember, those in the FedEx Cup Playoffs are already signed up for Jimmy Clay unless you send an email advising you can’t make it. Also, if you have a preferred group you want to play with, please let me know before Tuesday evening.

Colovista Tournament Specifics

Colovista pairings are now available.

 CTGA welcomes New Members LARRY CASTRO and JACOB GONZALES and Special Guests CONNOR LOWE and DERALD MORRIS to our Colovista tournament.

  • We have spots open for this tournament for anyone whose plans have changed and are able to play. Just send me an email ASAP.
  • FedEx Cup Playoff Countdown: No more qualifying FedEx Cup events. Playoffs begin next week, Sunday, September 29.
  • Fall Classic Countdown: Including Colovista… 3 events remaining before the Classic.
  • A reminder that if you plan to play in the FedEx Cup Elimination playoffs and the Fall Classic, you’re committed to 3 weekends in a row. Like last year, we expect to have a great player pool for all competitions.

CTGA PACE OF PLAY: We’ll continue to push for our 4:30 pace target. We will monitor finish times on Thursday and, if necessary, assess penalties for “Excessive Slow Play”.

 

COLOVISTA DRESS CODE.... They do have a dress code consistent with country clubs and CTGA requests all members and invited guests to dress accordingly. They are a soft spike facility.
