This information will be posted at the Roy Kizer Pavilion prior to start of play.

 

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

 

Scott Preece and Eddie Nunez will be the Directors in charge of this event. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

 

FORMAT: 2 Day * 2-Player Team

Saturday: One Low Net Best Ball of the Team

Sunday: 2 Player Total Net Scores of the Team

 

1st TEE TIME: 9:00

 

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER: No Trash Carryover this event

 

TEES TO PLAY:

All Men play BLUE Tees

All Ladies play GREEN Tees

 

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES: 1st Trash Flight - #4 & #13; 2nd Trash Flight - #8 & #15

 

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES: #5 and #17.

 

ROY KIZER DRESS CODE…No specific dress code required. However, CTGA requests all players to dress consistent with upscale course requirements. They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST: As of this time the forecast looks great, with a high in the mid-90’s, moderate breeze and no chance of rain. If the weather does turn bad, call Roy Kizer (512-444-0999) on Saturday and Morris Williams (512-974-8333) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 8:00 on tournament day for status of play.

I was told we had just enough rain during the round to remind everyone what that phenomenon felt like. It sounded like the greens had sufficient grass….almost too much that kept them slower than usual.

Almost a copy of last tournament with warmer temp and a breeze that made the day a bit more challenging. Today was a reminder of why we so enjoy the Sun City courses.

  • Our next USGA Rules Defined is attached for your review. This week’s Rule addresses Rule 27-2 Playing a Provisional Ball.
  • We still have room for additional players at Cowan Creek. If your plans have changed and you would like to play, please reply ASAP.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 as we’ll be going to our assigned starting holes by 7:45.
