Lions Results

Results for Lions are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members MARNIE ADAMS and ALYONA DYE to our Lions Muny event.
  • Our next event is at Legends on LBJ.  Director Steve Barnes played the course last week and said both greens and fairways are excellent.  This is a fun course to play.
  • Yesterday’s Pace was marginal.  However, the problem wasn’t all CTGA.  It was mostly due to the 20+ player group in front of our event that had mostly 5-somes and who apparently had little regard for consistent Pace.  My group was the first CTGA foursome behind this party.  Our actual start time was 10:39 (7 minutes late) and we finished at 3:36(4:57 play time).  It was frustrating as we waited on every shot from the tee and the fairways.  Our last foursome start time was around 1:10, almost 25 minutes late and their finish time was about 6:30 (5:20 play time).  We will continue to strive to achieve our 4:30 Pace goal and we thank all players for your part in making it happen.

  • Because we have 2 Blind Draw Teams, we won’t know the Flights several teams will be in until we draw the Blind Draw Partners on Saturday.
  • Let’s all continue to play at an acceptable Pace on Saturday.  Remember, it’s much more fun playing in 4 hours than it is to drag a round beyond 5 hours.  Excessive Slow PlayWILL result in penalties.

  • Our next event on Saturday, February 11 at Lions Muny is a 2-Player Team event.  As a reminder, if you don’t have a preferred partner for this event, you can sign up as a Single and we’ll blind draw your partner from our Singles pool.
  • CTGA allows signup for our tournaments without the need to “Pre-Pay” prior to tournament day.  This Honor System, for the most part, works well.  All we ask is for our members to just call and let us know, prior to tournament day, if they can’t make the event.  Failure to do so is called a NO SHOW and all No Shows are subject to penalties as defined in our By-Laws.
