Vaaler Creek Tournament Specifics

Vaaler Creek pairings are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes New Member PAUL COLE, STEVEN JENSEN and DONALD MARSHALL and Special Guest AL DUFFEY to our Vaaler Creek tournament.
  • We still have room for up to 2 more players if you haven’t signed up yet and want to play. If you can, please let us know ASAP.
  • Our primary focus for Saturday is for all players to play well. Our secondary focus is CTGA PACE of PLAY. All players need to be conscious of where you are to the “group in front”. Please work together to ensure your 4-some keeps up and finishes within 4 hours 30 minutes.

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Times, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Vaaler Creek Pavilion before the start of play.

With this being our first Shotgun start of the year, a reminder that all players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 8:30.

Kevin Lowe and Scott Preece will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

DIRECTIONS TO VAALER CREEK:

From the junction of Hwy 290W and Hwy 281, continue on Hwy 281 about 11 miles to Blanco, TX. Continue about 3 miles South of Blanco to Rocking J Ranch development.

Note: If you see Logan’s Way, you’ve gone about ½ mile too far.

When you enter into Rockin' J Ranch you will drive through the gate and proceed past the sales office. Approximately one mile past the gate you will come to a 4-way intersection. If you are only going to the practice range, you will turn right. If you are going to the golf shop to play, you will continue straight through the intersection another 3/4 of a mile until you come to Jeff Vaughn Road. Turn right and you will drive 1/4 mile and the golf shop will be on your right.

We recommend you go to MapQuest.com for specific directions to Rocking J Ranch entrance, then use the above directions to the course. Vaaler Creek address is:

228 Jeff Vaughn, Blanco, TX 78606

REMEMBER, MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOURSELF AMPLE DRIVE TIME FROM YOUR STARTING POINT TO ARRIVE AT VAALER CREEK NO LATER THAN 8:30.

SEE YOU ON THE FIRST TEE……
