Delaware Springs Tournament Specifics

Delaware Springs pairings are now available.

Make sure you know your…..

  • Your Starting Hole (to be assigned at course on Sunday)
  • Assigned Tees to Play
  • CTGA Conditions of Competition

 

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play by 8:00 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 8:20.

 

Steve Barnes, Scott Preece and John Vayo will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

 

FORMAT:  Medal Play

 

SHOTGUN START:  8:30

 

TOURNAMENT FEES:  All fees, including Green Fee, Cart, Range Balls, and Player Pool fees, will be paid to CTGA this event.  Since Cart Fees are required, we expect all players will agree to ride.

 

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:  There is a Carryover in the 1st Trash Flight this event.

 

TEES TO PLAY:  See Pairing Sheet.

 

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #5 & #16;    2nd Trash Flight - #7 & #13

 

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #3 and #15.

 

DELAWARE SPRINGS DRESS CODE is consistent with upscale country club dress code, so please dress accordingly.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

SUNDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Mostly cloudy skies and in the mid 70’s at start time with a mild breeze and slight chance of showers….HOPEFULLY ANOTHER GREAT DAY FOR CTGA GOLF!!!!.  If the weather turn bad, call Eddie Nunez after 7:00 Saturday morning (512-797-0566) as he’ll be in touch with the course by then.

600 Delaware Springs Blvd, Burnet, TX.

 

Coming from the North, take Hwy 29 to Burnet then turn South (left) onto….

Hwy 281 for 2.5 miles, then turn Right…

Follow directions to golf course.

 

Coming from the South, take Hwy 71 West for @ 32 miles, then turn North (right) onto…

Hwy 281 for 15.8 miles, then turn Left…

Follow directions to golf course.

 

Allow about 1:20 drive time from center of Austin to Delaware Springs, so make sure you leave early enough to get there on time.

Grey Rock Tournament Results

Grey Rock results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed Special Guest CRAIG CARROLL to our Grey Rock tournament.
  • We hope Grey Rock was a good alternative to Lakecliff CC.  Although it’s a rare occurance, situations like this do come up from time to time.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • Our first order of CTGA logo shirts and caps have arrived and many of your orders have already been given out.  We hope to see some of them worn at our next event at Delaware Springs.  Those of you who ordered garments and did not play Grey Rock will receive yours at your next event.

Vaaler Creek Tournament Results

Vaaler Creek results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members STEVE BUDNICK and CODY WISE and Special Guest KEITH CHESNUTT to our Vaaler Creek tournament.

SPECIAL REMINDER:  Lakecliff CC is now in receivership with Austin Country Club and not yet opened.  When it does open, it will be private with no League tournament opportunities.  With this, we have switched our venue to GREY ROCK for Thursday, May 10.

  • Our first order of CTGA logo garments should be shipping from Antigua tomorrow, May 2.  Hopefully they will arrive before our Grey Rock event on May 10.  I’ll keep everyone informed.
