A reminder that our next two events before our 2018 Fall Classic will be regular Medal Play competition for all playersAND Round 1 of our FedEx Cup Playoff (for those who have qualified for the Playoffs).

  • CTGA welcomed new member John Mundell and Special Guest Shawn Young to our Teravista event.
  • Only one tournament remains (Plum Creek – Sept 8) before our 2018 FedEx Cup Playoffs begin.  We will send out the updated participation information by Sunday so all will know who qualifies for the Playoffs..

Steve Barnes and Scott Preece will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

1st TEE TIME:  10:00

 

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:  There is a Carryover in the 2nd Deuce Flight.  See attached Carryover sheet for details.

 

TEES TO PLAY:  See Pairing Sheet

 

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #3 & #15;    2nd Trash Flight - #7 & #11

 

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #2 and #17.

 

REMINDER:  Teravista expectation is for CTGA to complete our play within 4 hours 30 minutes. Please monitor your play time by staying within a reasonable and acceptable distance behind the foursome in front.

 

Teravista dress code is consistent with upscale country club code.  Please dress consistent with Country Club attire.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

THURSDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   84° at our first tee time and around 95º by our final foursome finish time with a slight breeze (4mph) throughout,and no rain in the forecast…as of today.  If the weather turn bad, call Eddie after 8:30 Thursday morning (512-797-0566) as he’ll be in touch with the course by then.

Legacy Hills Results

Legacy Hills results are now available.

CTGA welcomed new member JONATHAN SCOTT to our Legacy Hills tournament

2018 CTGA tournament participation will be sent out to all members later this week.  At our Quarterly Director meeting on Thursday, a decision was made to add one additional “non-play credit” to all member participation to offset the excessive summer heat that caused limited play.

A reminder that we now have only two more events before the start of our 2018 FedEx Cup Playoffs and 4 events remaining prior to our Fall Classic.  Make sure you know if you need additional rounds to ensure you qualify for these two year-end events.

CTGA welcomed new members MICHAEL CEARLEY and WALT SHOFNER to our Bandit tournament

As we start working on our 2019 CTGA Tournament Schedule, we will do our best to avoid afternoon starts between June 15 and August 31.  Our 2 afternoon events this year (Onion Creek and The Bandit) were brutal due to extreme high temperatures.

Congratulations to Kenny Ames, Greg Leath and Greg Zumwalt for accepting the challenge and competing in the Austin Men’s City Golf Championship this past weekend.  They didn’t make the cut, but represented CTGA well.  Way to go guys.
