Onion Creek Tournament Specifics
Onion Creek pairings are now available.
- CTGA welcomes New Members CRAIG LAUBACHER and ALLEN REESE and Special Guest BRIAN BORCHARDT to our Onion Creek tournament.
- Onion Creek has specifically asked that our players comply with their maximum 4:30 Pace of Play expectations. Let’s not let CTGA down.
- This restriction is directly from Onion Creek website….please comply: Onion Creek Club does not allow denim on the golf course or the driving range. Men are required to wear collared shirt, tucked in.
- We still have room for players if anyone is available. If your plans change and you want to play, please make sure you reply directly to me as quickly as possible.
All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Onion Creek Pro Shop before the start of play.
This event is a Shotgun start. All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 11:45 as they will be sending us to our starting holes at 11:50.
Kevin Lowe and Eddie Nunez will be the Directors in charge of this event. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.
FORMAT : Medal Play
SHOTGUN START: 12:00
TEES TO PLAY:
- 1st and 2nd Flight Men play BACK TEES
- 3rd and 4th Flight Men play MIDDLE TEES
LADIES play FORWARD TEES
TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER: Carry-Over in the 1st Deuce Flight. Please review the attached Carryover sheet.
CLOSE TO PIN HOLES: 1st Trash Flight - # 8 & #17; 2nd Trash Flight - # 6 & # 11
KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES: # 3 and # 11.
THURSDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Today the forecast for Thursday is clear skies and a high of 79. A great day for a great golf course.
If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (282-2162) or Eddie Nunez (797-0566) after 11:00 on tournament day for status of play.
DRESS CODE: Again, dress code requirements: Onion Creek Club does not allow denim on the golf course or the driving range. Men are required to wear collared shirt, tucked in. They are a Soft Spike facilities.
Plum Creek Tournament Specifics
Plum Creek pairings are now available.
- Please ensure your 4-some does what’s necessary to ensure a good PACE OF PLAY. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
- Although Sunday’s forecast calls for more rain, Mr. Optimism expects it to be a good day for CTGA golf. If it does turn bad, call the golf course after 7:00am on tournament day.
- Our 2012-2013 USGA Rules of Golf booklets are in. Make sure you pick yours up if you need one.

SUNDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Doesn’t look good, but who can trust an Austin weatherman. If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (262-5555) after 7:00 on tournament day for status of play.
DRESS CODE: Plum Creek has no specific dress code. However, CTGA requests all players to please dress consistent with upscale course requirements. They are a Soft Spike facilities.
