  • IMPORTANT NOTICE…OUR SHOTGUN START TIME AT VAALER CREEK HAS CHANGED FROM 9:00 TO 8:30AT THE REQUEST OF VAALER CREEK.  PLEASE ADJUST YOUR TRAVEL TIME TO THE COURSE ACCORDINGLY.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 8:00 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 8:50.

 

Scott Preece and Steve Barnes will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

 

FORMAT:  Medal Play

 

SHOTGUN START:  8:30

 

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:   No Carryover in either Trash Flight this event.

 

TEES TO PLAY:  See Pairing Sheet

 

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #9 & #12;    2nd Trash Flight - #5 & #15

 

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #2 and #13.

 

VAALER CREEK DRESS CODE:  Their dress code requires collared shirt and no jeans.  CTGA asks that all players dress consistent with Country Club attire, so please dress accordingly.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Early reports show a chance of rain.  If the weather does turn bad, call Eddie after 7:00 Saturday morning (512-797-0566) as he’ll be in touch with the course by then.

When you enter into Rockin' J Ranch you will drive through the gate and proceed past the sales office. Approximately one mile past the gate you will come to a 4-way intersection.  Continue straight through the intersection another 3/4 of a mile to Jeff Vaughn Road. Turn right Jeff Vaughn Rd for about 1/4 mile tothe golf course on your right.

Star Ranch Tournament Specifics

Star Ranch pairings are now available.

Tee Times at Star Ranch run from 1:00 to 3:15.  Should be plenty of time for all foursomes to finish before dark (8:32).  Our Pace of Play over the past several events has been great, for the most part.  We need to continue our push for a 4:30 finish for all foursomes.
