All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Who knows this early in the week. Current forecast calls for a high of 77 and scattered thunderstorms. Although we’re hoping for the best, if the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (512-444-0999) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 9:00 on tournament day for status of play.

• A reminder to all our great Members: If you sign up for at CTGA tournament and, for whatever reason, are unable to make your tee time, we ask that you take just a couple minutes to call either a CTGA Director or the golf course to let us know. What appeared to be a sure rain-out, turned out to be an excellent day of golf. Of our 75 scheduled players, we had only 4 players decide not to show up for this event due to the weather. Too bad that they missed this great day.

•  CTGA welcomed New Members JACOB GONZALES, RUSSELL GREENBLATT, KYLE RAYMOND, Returning Member LEO AGUIRRE, and Special Guests MICHAEL ADAMS, MICHAEL AMADOR, ERNESTO BOYD, and PEDRO CORDON to our Jimmy Clay tournament.
• Although the probability of Jimmy Clay shutting down as early as mid-March to redo all their greens, the final decision has not yet been given. We’ll keep everyone informed on this.
• Our Pace of Play efforts yesterday were excellent. Our first group finished in 4:07 and our last pairing at 4:41. All groups were within a hole of each other which also was impressive. The pro shop staff thanked us for our efforts. Let’s make this the norm rather than the exception. A very special THANK YOU to all Jimmy Clay players.

Just about everything about our Jimmy Clay tournament was positive. The only really negative was the 15+ mph winds. Our largest field of 2014, we proved that a good Pace of Play is possible.
