Jimmy Clay Tournament Specifics
Jimmy Clay pairings are now available.

- CTGA welcomes New Member FRANK BROWN and Special Guest BEN HOUGH to our Jimmy Clay tournament
- Our 2011 FedEx Cup 2 Round Playoff will be played during our September 17 and September 24 events. Remember, this Playoff will be in addition to our regular Medal Play competition opened to all players.
JIMMY CLAY TOURNAMENT SPECIFICS
All players are responsible for knowing these tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Jimmy Clay pavilion before the start of play.
All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
Jeff Bowman and Jeff Jones will be the Directors in charge of this event. Please direct tournament questions or concerns to them.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Medal Play
1st TEE TIME: 10:30
TEES TO PLAY:
1st/2nd Flight Men play Blue Tees
All other Men’s Flights play White Tees
Ladies play Red Tees
TRASH CARRYOVER: Carryover in the 2nd Deuce Flight.
KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES: # 2 and # 15.
SUNDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Relief from triple digits….mid 90’s on Sunday with a slight chance of rain. If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (444-0999) after 8:30 on tournament day for status of play.
DRESS CODE: Jimmy Clay has no specific dress code. However, we ask all members to dress consistent with upscale course requirements. They are a Soft Spike facilities.
Fall Classic and Fedex Cup Playoffs
Our 2011 Fall Classic and FedEx Cup Playoffs are just around the corner. Here are the particulars for each:
FedEx Cup Playoffs include a 2 round Elimination, then a 2 round final :
Round 1 elimination: Saturday, September 17 at Morris Williams
Round 2 elimination: Sunday, September 24 at Roy Kizer
Final Playoff Rounds (2): Concurrent with our 2011 Fall Classic (October 1 & 2)
- All members who qualify based on our 2011 FedEx Cup Sliding Scale (attached) are eligible to compete in the Playoff rounds.
- Two (2) Playoff Flights determined by player handicap
- Points will be earned based on Playoff finish in each of the 2 elimination rounds and will be added to existing Average Points Per Round total accumulated during the year-long FedEx Cup competition
- Six (6) players within each Playoff Flights with the most cumulative points earned will advance to the FedEx Cup Finals
- Points received in the 1st Finals Round (October 1) will be added to the total points earned
- Total Points earned will be adjusted for the Round 2 Finals (October 2)
- Winner will be the player with the most total points after Round 2 Finals (adjusted points plus points earned in Finals Round 2)
2011 Fall Classic
Saturday, October 1 Cowan Creek (Sun City Georgetown)
Sunday, October 2 Cowan Creek (Sun City Georgetown)
- All 2011 active members are eligible to play in our Fall Classic
- Eligibility to compete in the Medal Play competition and adjusted handicaps are determined by our 2011 Qualifying Guidelines and Handicap Adjustment Tables (attached)
- All members are eligible to compete in our optional Trash and Team competitions
Delaware Springs Results
Delaware Springs results are now available.

- CTGA welcomed New Member ALLEN FRANCESCO and Special Guests ERIC KIRTZ and DARELD MORRIS to our Delaware Springs tournament.
- CTGA is making great improvements in our PACE of PLAY goal as was shown at Delaware Springs. All 4-some scorecards were turned in within 15 minutes of each other. Way to go, gang.

DELAWARE SPRINGS TOURNAMENT SPECIFICS
All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Delaware Springs clubhouse before the start of play.
All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 8:15 as we will be going to our starting holes at 8:40.
Jeff Jones and Eddie Nunez will be the Directors in charge of this event. Please direct tournament questions or concerns to them.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: 2-Player 9+9
SHOTGUN START: 8:45

- All Men play Blue Tees

DRESS CODE: Delaware Springs has no specific dress code. However, we ask all members to dress consistent with upscale course requirements. They are a Soft Spike facilities.

Falconhead Tournament Specifics

- A reminder that our 2011 FedEx Cup 2 Round Playoff will be a during our September 17 and September 24 events. If you have any questions regarding this Playoff, please let us know.
- The local Golf Pride representative will hold a “Grip Demo Day” for CTGA at Falconhead. All Golf Pride grips will be on display and, at your request, he’ll put one grip of your choice on any club.
