Roy Kizer Results

Results for Roy Kizer are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed Special Guests BILLY GRAHAM and CHRIS WARE to our Roy Kizer tournament.
  • CTGA is well on our way to a consistent Pace of Play trend that is extremely impressive.  Our lead foursome finished in4:18 and our last in 4:51.  Although our last foursome finished 21 minutes over our 4:30 goal, they finished only 15 minutes behind the group in front.  Hats off to all foursomes for a great effort.  It’s obvious that our focus is keeping pace with the “group in front” and not what’s happening behind us.

In addition to our 2 Team Flight winners, Special KUDOS to the following…..

  • Michael Whitley with the Low Gross Rounds of the Day – 76
  • Karl Wacker with the Low Net Round of the Day – 70
  • Closest Par 3 shots of the day:

1st Trash Flight:  Chris Toombs – 4’ 7” on #13

2nd Trash Flight:  Mike Fitzpatrick – 2’ 10” on # 15

  • James Battle, Billy Graham and Chris Reid for the only Deuces in the 1st Trash Flight
  • Pete Garcia, Mike Ryther and Phillip Villegas for the only Skins in the 2nd Trash Flight

Roy Kizer Tournament Specifics

Roy Kizer pairings are now available.

  • I still have a Mizuno 56º Wedge that was turned in at our Jimmy Clay on January 30.  If it’s not claimed by Saturday, it goes back to Jimmy Clay.
  • We have space for one more player.  If you can join us, please let me know ASAP.
  • REMEMBER…finishing too far behind the group in front WILL result in an “Excessive Slow Play Penalty.”  Keep up and enjoy the game more.

Jimmy Clay Results

Jimmy Clay results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members BUBBA BOYD, STEVE DOBSON, TYLER MILES, PAUL WANG, AND TED WILLIAMS to our Jimmy Clay tournament.
  • Our tournament finish time as we progressed through our event was longer than our expected target time.  Although high winds contributed, in part, to the delays, I’m sure that most, if not all, will agree that the extremely unusual putting on hole #13 was the major problem that created a bottleneck all the way back to hole #11.
  • Looking at our finish times, all but 1 foursome finished within 8-14 minutes of each other.  The one group who finished 27 minutes after the group ahead were penalized 1 stroke each for their excessive delay.

In addition to our Medal Play Flight winners, Special KUDOS to the following…..

  • Landon Wolf as the only player to break 80 with a Low Gross Rounds of the Day – 79
  • Joe Gimenez as the only player to break Net Par with a Low Net Round of the Day – 70
