Legacy Hills Tournament Specifics

Legacy Hills pairings are now available.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play by 8:00 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 8:25.

 

Steve Barnes, Scott Preece and Steven Leonard will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them. 

 

FORMAT:  Medal Play

 

SHOTGUN START:  8:30

  

TRASH FLIGHT CARRY-OVER:  There is a good Carry Over in the 1st Deuce Flight this event.  Please see the attached Deuce Flight Carry Over sheet for details.

 

TEES TO PLAY:  See Pairing Sheet

 

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #8 & #16;    2nd Trash Flight - #4 & #12

 

CTGA CHALLENGE HOLES:  #7 and #18.

 

REMINDER:  Legacy Hills expectation is for CTGA to complete our within 4 ½ hours as they always have an afternoon Members Shotgun Start at 1:00.  Please monitor your play time by staying within a reasonable and acceptable distance behind the foursome in front.

 

Legacy Hills dress code is consistent with upscale country club code.  Please dress accordingly.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

Allow 45 minute to an hour drive time from center of Austin to Legacy Hills, so make sure you leave early enough to get there on time.

·         Closest Par 3 shots of the day:

1st Trash Flight:  Chad Winkelmann – 7’ 8” on #16

2nd Trash Flight:  John Vayo – 3’ 5” on #7

·         Gary Stevens and John Vayo with the only Deuces in the 2nd Trash Flight.

·         No Deuces in the 1st Trash Flight so we’ll have a Carry Over in that Flight at Legacy Hills.

·         And finally, Jeff Jones for his Eagle 3 on #8, again, his last hole as a CTGA member.

The weather for our 1st 2020 CTGA Tournament was good but yesterday was absolutely perfect.  We hope the remaining events before Christmas break will be as good.

The weather for our 1st 2020 CTGA Tournament was absolutely ideal, especially considering the weather today.  Although we’re getting close to Winter in Austin, we hope all our events through March will be as nice.
