DIRECTIONS TO VAALER CREEK:

From the junction of Hwy 290W and Hwy 281, continue on Hwy 281 about 11 miles to Blanco, TX. Continue about 3 miles South of Blanco to Rocking J Ranch development.

Note: If you see Logan’s Way, you’ve gone about ½ mile too far.

When you enter into Rockin' J Ranch you will drive through the gate and proceed past the sales office. Approximately one mile past the gate you will come to a 4-way intersection. If you are only going to the practice range, you will turn right. If you are going to the golf shop to play, you will continue straight through the intersection another 3/4 of a mile until you come to Jeff Vaughn Road. Turn right and you will drive 1/4 mile and the golf shop will be on your right.

We recommend you go to MapQuest.com for specific directions to Rocking J Ranch entrance, then use the above directions to the course. Vaaler Creek address is:

228 Jeff Vaughn, Blanco, TX 78606

REMEMBER, MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOURSELF AMPLE DRIVE TIME FROM YOUR STARTING POINT TO ARRIVE AT VAALER CREEK NO LATER THAN 8:30.

Riverside Results

Riverside results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Member TED WILLIAMS to our Riverside tournament.
  • We’ll soon be starting a periodical KNOW THE RULES review for all CTGA members. If you are having trouble with any specific USGA Rule(s) you would like us to address or know Rule(s) that you feel our members need clarification on, please submit them to any CTGA Director and we’ll make sure we include them.
  • We had two Par 3 Close-To-Pin holes that nobody hit the greens. To clarify what happens to the $10.00 prize money when this happens, it goes into our CTGA General Fund for our Fall Classic.

Although we had the smallest field in several years, those of us who played had a great time.

Congratulations to our Flight winners….

1st Flight: Kevin Lowe (79/69) and +10 Modified Stableford (MS) points

2nd Flight: Ted Williams (93/68) and +11 MS Points

See you at Roy Kizer on Sunday, February 24
