Highland Lakes Tournament Specifics

Highland Lakes pairings are now available.

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Highland Lakes pro shop before the start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 for our 8:00 Shotgun start.

Jeff Bowman and Jeff Jones will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct any tournament questions or concerns to them.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: MEDAL PLAY

1st TEE TIME: 9:00

TEES TO PLAY:

  • 1st Flight will play Gold Tees
  • 2nd Flight will play Blue Tees

TRASH CARRY-OVER: No Carry-Over for this event.

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Hot and sunny. If the weather does look bad, call the golf course (267-1170) after 7:00 for status of play.

DRESS CODE: Highland Lakes has a Dress Code consistent with upscale courses so please dress accordingly. They are a Soft Spike facilities.

1st Flight:

  • 1st Place – Josh Bera (76/71) won Scorecard Playoff with Jake Morton (74/71) with a Back 9 total of Net 33 to Jake’s Net 38.
  • 3rd Place Tie – Brian Melnyk (82/74) and Erik Rudi (80/74)

2nd Flight:

  • 1st Place – Tod Alderman (88/69) won Scorecard Playoff with Steve Barnes (85/69) with a Back 9 total of Net 33 to Steve’s Net 34.
  • 3rd Place – Manny Schwartz (95/70

Clear Creek Tournament Specifics

Clear Creek pairings are now available.

FT HOOD REQUIRES PASSES TO GET TO THE GOLF COURSE. For those of us driving, we MUST PRESENT A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE, PROOF OF INSURANCE and CURRENT CAR REGISTRATION DOCUMENT. Make sure you have these and give yourself at least 20 extra minutes to get them processed.

  • 1st Place – Chris Wadle (Gross 76 – Net 67)
  • 2nd Place – Eddie Nunez (75 - 68)

2nd Flight:

  • 1st Place – Bill Smith (82 - 68)
  • 2nd Place Tie – Brian Melnyk (80 – 71) and Anthony Guzaldo (84 – 71)

3rd Flight:

  • 1st Place - Carl Givens (77 - 58)
  • 2nd Place – Mark Cullins (82 - 60)

  • Carl Givens and Mark Cullins for blitzing the course with their great rounds. Hard to imagine coming in with a Net 60 and still taking only 2nd place. Rub of the Green, Mark.
  • Josh Bera for capturing both Close-To-Pins in the 1st Trash Flight.
  • Greg Jones…..”Mr. Deuce” for yet another one and the only one in the 1st Trash Flight. Greg is a Deuce machine.
