White Wing Tournament Cancelled Due to Weather
***** IMPORTANT NOTICE *****
OUR TOURNAMENT TOMORROW AT WHITE WING HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!!!
I got a call from their Head Pro who strongly suggested we cancel tomorrow and reschedule at a later date. With the amount of rain they've had recently, all their courses are currently in a state of "casual water" throughout and there is no way any of the 3 will be able to absorb more rain at this time. With the forecast showing up to 50% chance later tonightand 70% - 80% from 7:00 tomorrow morning through the weekend, he feels the courses will be all but unplayable.
With this information, and as much as we dislike pulling the string on a tournament the day before, your Directors all agree it's the prudent thing to do. We don't want to stall untiltomorrow morning, have a large number of members show up, and at that time call it off. So, tomorrow morning stay home, stay dry, and stay safe.
We’re going to try to find an open date later this year to reschedule White Wing.
On another note, I drove out to Colovista this afternoon to see if their greens have improved for our tournament with them on Sunday, May 31. I was pleasantly surprised as all the greens have made a significant recovery since the end of April. With this, we will keep or commitment to Colovista on May 31.
