Jimmy Clay Results

Jimmy Clay results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomes New Members NICK AGUILAR, ALEX BROWN, PETER JOHNSON, STEVEN LEONARD, ABRAHAM MARTINEZ, WES RAY, and KIM SELCHERT and Special Guests LIEF LEVERETT and RANDALL WOFFORD to our Jimmy Clay event.
  • Our next event is at Pine Forest on Sunday, January 29.  I talked to the course today to check on its condition after the heavy rains last week.  They assured me that the course is in good condition and will be ready for us on Sunday.
  • With 80 players yesterday, our overall Pace of Play was excellent.  Our first foursome finished right at 4:30 while having to wait for the public play in front of them with the next 5 foursomes finishing within 8-10 minutes each.  Our last 9 foursomes finished within an average of 8 ½ minutes each.  Your CTGA Directors thank you all for a great effort.
  • With regret, we had to disqualify 2 players yesterday for committing Rules infractions.  CTGA prides itself on playing by the Rules and, although most infractions result in a 1 or 2 stroke penalty, these were more severe.  For all to avoid similar problems in the future we’ll send out an explanation of each within a few days.

Stone Tree Results

Stone Tree results are now available.

For the 1st time since August 11, CTGA did not have a new member starting an event, however, we expect a few new members starting next tournament.

  • As we show above, we have 2 tournaments remaining before the Christmas break.  Hopefully we’ll have great turnouts going into the holidays.
  • We got very positive comments from many who played Stonetree yesterday so we are definitely going to try to get them on our schedule again in 2017.  We’re also going to hope for better weather next year.
  • Your CTGA Directors found it necessary to assess 2 stroke penalties to 2 players in a foursome for Excessive Slow Play.  The other 2 players made concerted efforts to correct the problem and were not penalized.
