Completing Scorecards in CTGA Events
(CTGA Variation of USGA Rule 6-6)
Individual and 2-Player Team Format Competition
- Players/Teams must exchange scorecards.
- If a single scorecard is used for all players or both Teams, a Marker is designated to record all scores.
4-Player Team Competition
- A Marker is designated to record all scores.
All Formats
- Each Player/Team is responsible for accuracy of their hole-by-hole scores.
- A score for any hole lower than actually taken, the Player/Team is disqualified.
- A score for any hole higher than actually taken, that score, as returned, shall stand.
- Note: no penalty will be applied for failure to complete or for recording incorrect Gross and/or Net scores on scorecard.
- Once signed and turned in, that score becomes the score of record and is not subject to change.
- Only tournament gross scores are to be entered on the official tournament scorecard.
- It is strongly recommended that all Players/Teams keep a separate, personal scorecard during the round to verify correctness of the “official” scorecard.
Although it is not necessary for Individual Players or Teams to total and record Gross/Net Scores on the scorecard, we request that you do so. This will help you ensure your official scorecard is correct and will help the Director or designee in charge to accurately and easily post Gross and Net scores on the tournament tesults scoreboard.
