Onion Creek Tournament Specifics

Onion Creek pairings are now available.

  • Unmarked and Natural Areas of high foliage beyond the 2nd cut of Fairway that are not marked as defined Hazards will be played according to instructions below.
  • We still have room for additional players on Thursday.  If your plans have changed and you would like to play, please let us know ASAP.
  • Our PACE OF PLAY on Thursday will be monitored and subject to penalty for EXCESSIVE SLOW PLAY.  Remember, YOUR PLACE ON THE COURSE IS IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE GROUP IN FRONT.

This information will be posted at the Onion Creek Patio prior to start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 12:30 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 12:50.

Starting holes will be assigned at the course on Thursday.

Eddie Nunez and Steve Barnes will be the Directors in charge of this event.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

FORMAT:  Medal Play

SHOTGUN START:  1:00

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:   No Carryover in either Trash Flight this event.

TEES TO PLAY:

Men Flights 1, 2 and 3 play BACK TEES

Men Flights 4, 5 and 6 play DEMARET TEES

Lady Flights 1, 2 and 3 play FORWARD or CONNOLLY TEES as declared prior to start of play

Lady Flight 4 plays FORWARD TEES

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #8 & #17; 2nd Trash Flight - #6 & #11

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #7 and #15.

UNMARKED ROUGH & NATURAL AREAS OF HIGH FOLIAGE

To help our Pace of Play, all areas beyond the obvious 2nd cut rough that are natural High Growth Foliage and not visibly marked as Lateral Hazard, will be considered Lateral Hazard and played as such.  Concurrence as to such Hazard must be agreed on by at least 2 players in your 4-some

ONION CREEK DRESS CODE:  Their dress code is consistent with Country Club requirements.  Please dress accordingly.

THURSDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Mid 60’s and clear from start time through finish with no possibility of rain.  Signs of the coming of Spring and great CTGA golf weather.  If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (512-383-2013) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 11:30 on Thursday for status of play.
