Cowan Creek Tournament Specifics

Cowan Creek pairings are now available.

 

Remember….after this Cowan Creek Tournament, there is only one more event (Plum Creek) before the start of our CTGA Cup Playoffs.

 

We continue to push the new 3 minute search limit for lost balls.  Please comply.

 

Our post-play activities on Saturday will be at the Cowan Creek Pavilion.  They also allows CTGA to bring our own refreshments, so feel free to BYOC (cooler) with your favorite drinks.                 

 

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 7:50.

 

Steve Barnes, Scott Preece and John Vayo will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them. 

 

FORMAT:  Medal Play

 

SHOTGUN START:  8:00

  

TRASH FLIGHT CARRY-OVER:  We do have a 2nd Deuce Flight Carry Over on Saturday.  See attached sheet.

REMINDER:  Cowan Creek expectation is for CTGA to complete our play no later than 12:30 as they have their Member Shotgun starting at 1:00. Please monitor your play time by staying within a reasonable and acceptable distance behind the foursome in front.

 

Cowan Creek dress code is consistent with upscale country club code.  Please dress accordingly.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   No speculation but hoping for a great day for CTGA golf.  If the weather does turn bad, Eddie will send a note on REMIND and email after 6:30 Saturday morning (512-797-0566) as he’ll be in touch with the course by then.

  • Alex Brown again for claiming both Close-To-Pin honors

From Austin, take appropriate route to Marble Falls.  In Marble Falls, take FM1431 West 11.5 miles, then turn Right onto FM2342 in Kingsland.  Go @1 mile North, then turn Left onto Legends Parkway, then Left again onto Range Way Circle to parking lot.
