Starcke Park Tournament Specifics

Starcke Park pairings are now available.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 8:00 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 8:20.

Steve Barnes, Scott Preece and John Vayo will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

FORMAT:  Medal Play

SHOTGUN START:  8:30

TRASH FLIGHT CARRY-OVER:  No Carry-over in either Trash Flight this event.

TEES TO PLAY:  See Pairing Sheet

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #2 & #13;    2nd Trash Flight - #6 & #16

CTGA CHALLENGE HOLES:  #8 and #18.

REMINDER:  CTGA continues to expect an acceptable play time for all our tournaments, which is within 4 hours 30 minutes.  The best way to measure how you are doing time wise is to always be waiting for the foursome in front of you to clear before you can play your next shot.

Starcke Park has no specific dress code, however, CTGA requests all players to dress consistent with Country Club attire.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   Although I hesitate to make reference to the weather, it looks like a good day for CTGA golf other than the normal seasonal breeze.  If the weather does get bad, Eddie will send a note on REMIND and email after 6:30 Saturday morning (512-797-0566) as he’ll be in touch with the course by then.

DIRECTIONS TO STARCKE PARK

Google for specific directions.  Starcke Park address is…

650 River Drive West, Seguin, TX.

(Note:  Coming South on River Drive (Hwy 123 Business), if you cross the Guadalupe River bridge, you’ve gone too far.)

It’s at least an hour drive from Ben White in Austin to Starcke Park, so make sure you leave early enough to be there on time.
